PETITION - Demand Action on Dodgy Junction

Windmill Hill Junction

Dear Dudley Council,

We the undersigned demand action on the junction between the A458 (Windmill Hill), Toys Lane, and Furlong Lane. This junction has been the site of numerous road traffic accidents over the years and is particularly dangerous exiting from Toys Lane due to the lack of visability. This junction is vital to many parents and guardians on the school run and connects Stourbridge to Halesowen and on to Birmingham - it is one of the busiest roads in the local area.

Action must be taken to ensure the safety of motorists on this junction before a serious accident occurs.

We the undersigned recognise the councils efforts to introduce average speed enforcement on the A458, however this does not go far enough to protect motorists as there is still a lack of visability exiting Toys Lane.

The ideal scenario would be to install traffic lights on the junction, however this would mean moving the traffic lights outside the Wilson Hall, otherwise there would be 4 sets within a quater of a mile.

If this is not possible, then a secondary measure would be to make Toys Lane one-way only entering onto Toys Lane.

We the undersigned encourage urgent action to make this junction safer.
