A year ago you signed a petition calling on Dudley Council to halt developers plans to build 1500 houses on Foxcote Field. Despite talk of a "brownfield" first policy, Dudley Council has pushed ahead with the Black Country Plan which could see these house built.
This is our last chance to save Foxcote Field.
If we can make a strong case that Foxcote is a vital green space for our community then there is a chance that we can get the site protected under Local Green Space Designation. This is tighter legislation than the usual greenbelt designation and would prevent the Council from allowing developers to build there.
But we need your help.
We need as many people as possible to share why they think Foxcote and Oldnall Fields should be saved. You may be aware that the site is historically significant, with many stone age artefacts being discovered over the years. You may be aware of the rich biodiversity the fields offer from plant life to birds of prey. Or your reason may be simpler, that it is an area of peace and natural beauty so close to our community.
Send why you think Foxcote and Oldnall Fields should be saved to email@example.com
