Hi Ed,

For just over two years I have been fighting to save Foxcote Field from Conservative Plans to build 1500 houses.

If their plans are not stopped it would devastate our local area, it would mean more traffic, fewer school places, fewer doctors appointments. It would mean losing a site of historical, environmental and community importance.

Back in 2019, I organised a petition to save Foxcote Field which was signed by over 600 members of the community. The Conservatives didn't even bother to reply.

On Thursday, YOU can save Foxcote Field by lending me your vote.

I grew up in the community, I have fond memories of Foxcote Field, and I want it protected for future generations. I fight for local residents, not property developers - it is a great shame that Conservative-run Dudley Council cannot say the same.

By the West Midlands Mayor's own admission, our Greenbelt is under threat. But with a Tory Council, Tory MP, Tory Mayor, and Tory Government, it's clear where that threat is coming from.

I know every candidate will make grand promises about our Greenbelt - so I only ask that you judge me by my record of action.

It wasn't the Tories or Labour that collected 600+ signatures, it was me. It wasn't the Tories or Labour that forced a community meeting on the issue, it was me. While the Tories have tried to silence us and Labour have stood by, I have been working hard to save Foxcote Field all year round - not just at election time.

On Thursday, a vote for anyone else puts our Greenbelt at risk. I hope you will consider lending me your vote this time round.

Best wishes,

Ryan Priest
Liberal Democrat Candidate in Cradley and Wollescote
