COPENHAGEN: IT MAY BE MAKE OR BREAK

Chris Bramall

Chris Bramall, the Liberal Democrats' prospective candidate for Stourbridge says:

"Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, has challenged Gordon Brown over Labour's record on the environment. Labour's time in office has seen rising carbon emissions, airport expansions, and more dirty coal-fired power stations. This is the shameful record which the Prime Minister will be taking to the major international climate change summit at Copenhagen at the beginning of December.

"Nick has met with the heads of the leading climate change campaign groups in Britain to talk about what to expect from the Copenhagen summit. Nick told them about the distinctive Liberal Democrat policies to tackle climate change, such as a call for all developed nations to slash carbon emissions by 40% by 2020."

Chris says:

"The Liberal Democrats have always been the most serious party when it comes to tackling climate change - which is why I joined the part in the first place and why I am challenging for Parliament now. I ask all residents of Stourbridge, Quarry Bank, Cradley and adjoining areas - please support Nick Clegg's campaign, and work through your political parties, environmental organizations, trade unions, trade associations, churches and mosques to demand wholehearted action from all governments on climate change. And please consider voting Liberal Democrat if you haven't already decided to do so.

"Remember that the Copenhagen Summit may be make or break time - not for the planet, but for the future of the human race."
