Dudley Liberal Democrats have criticised Dudley Council for their ridiculous plans to spend £650,000 on a new bar in Dudley Civic Hall.

Ryan Priest, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Cradley and Wollescote, said that "this is a kick in the teeth for residents of Dudley who have seen drastic cuts to public services as well as being asked to pay more and more tax."

The local Liberal Democrats have pledged to fight against this project if elected in May and use the money to protect weekly bin collections instead.

"The Tories and Labour look set to fight over this in the run-up to the local elections, but both have supported this plan at some point. This is a reckless Tory spending project, enacted by a reckless Labour council."

"Dudley needs a new voice in the chamber, fighting for sensible politics for the benefit of all the residents of our borough"
