David Cameron has emailed all Liberal Democrat MPs asking them to join the Conservative Party. Chris Huhne, Liberal Democrat MP for Eastleigh and former MEP has replied, his response follows:
Commenting on the launch of the Conservative Party's International Development policy review, Liberal Democrat Shadow International Development Secretary Andrew George MP said "Because of the heritage of the Conservative party they have got a lot to do to persuade others that they are no longer the party of greed and the producer interest."
Commenting on the Association of Police Authorities' claim that none of the English and Welsh forces will meet the deadline to submit full plans on merging, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary Mark Oaten MP said "The Government set an unrealistic target for police mergers and it is no surprise the police have been unable to achieve the impossible."
