Dundee LibDems welcome public support for Green Taxes

Dundee Liberal Democrat Councillor Helen Dick today (25th February 2006) welcomed publication of a Guardian/ICM poll that has revealed that 63% of the population approve of new green taxes to discourage environmentally damaging behaviour.

Priest Hill delayed

It had been hoped that the controversial planning application to develop part of Priest Hill for housing might be considered at the next meeting of the Planning Committee on 9 March, but this has had to be deferred until the Planners receive all the information they require.

No more messy side waste

Increased recycling with Side Waste Success

The new Eastleigh Borough policy of not having side waste on non-recyclable waste collections is having a positive effect on the recycling rate. At the recent full council a sceptical conservative group asked questions about the new side waste policy.
