Kennedy visit boosts campaign

Charles Kennedy visited Hythe today to give the local Lib Dem campaign a boost with just hours until polls open at 7am on Thursday. Mr Kennedy gave his backing to Peter Carroll saying that Peter would be "excellent MP for local people and a strong addition to the growing Lib Dem team in Parliament."

Lib Dems "Highest Ever" - Robinson

As the General Election campaign goes into the final week, Stephen Robinson is buoyed by the fact that Lib Dems are at their highest ever poll rating in an election. Stephen said, "Labour are running scared with a message that voting Lib Dem will let the Tories in. Now they are saying it is not factual but illustrative! The facts are that if you vote Lib Dem, you get Lib Dem."

Speed Traps

The speed limit on the Ring Road, from Sainsbury's to Hartburn Lane / Darlington Road junction has been dropped from 40 to 30 m.p.h for about 9 months now, but many motorists (97%!) have not noticed and are being caught on camera. Suzanne had asked for extra signs but the Government will not allow it.
